Chaim Soutine (1893–1943) was a Belarusian-French painter known for his expressive, often turbulent brushwork and emotionally charged portraits, landscapes, and still lifes. Associated with the École de Paris, his works, such as The Groom and Carcass of Beef, conveyed intense movement and raw emotion. His unique style influenced later expressionist movements and left a lasting mark on modern art.
